Ever lost a cell phone? Had an iPod stolen? Left your Laptop at a cafe? Misplaced your wallet? Everyone’s done it. We’re going to have a number of of postings to our Rewarding Return blog for a variety of reasons:

First and foremost, any new additions we might have for our service. Currently we’re selling Recovery labels that you should place on all your valuables. Why We’re here:

This company was started for a very simple reason. We hated losing our things. Cell phones, digital cameras, wallets, passports, etc.

One day I jumped out of a cab in New York City and saw a very nice (and very expensive looking) digital camera sitting right there on the sidewalk. I picked it up and looked around to see if anyone near by was looking for it, or perhaps just set it down for a minute. Nothing - no one was looking for their missing camera. I looked at the pictures, and it was obviously someones family vacation to NYC. All I wanted to do was give it back to this poor family that spent so much time taking pictures by the Statue of Liberty, Empire State building, and Wall Street. Was there anything I could have done to give it back?

I went home and did some digging. Posting a Lost and Found item on Craigslist seemed like a lost cause, but I did it anyways. Never getting a response, I felt like there should be something out there to let people give it back. Whether they just want to be honest, or wouldn’t know how to otherwise, Rewarding Return Labels would give people that opportunity.
